Knitting in Air

Yes, knitting needles are supposedly allowed in your carry-on according to the TSA, but note there is a caveat. Copied from their website:

"However, there is a possibility that the needles can be perceived as a possible weapon by one of our Security Officers. Our Security Officers have the authority to determine if an item could be used as a weapon and may not allow said item to pass through security."

I'm not going to risk it. I'll just hook on the plane.

I think you look harmless. I would have taken a bag full of needles on if I were you.
