Lucy would get tired from walking, so I would end up carrying her. I got tired of carrying her in my arms.
I walk till she is tired or I see a store I want to go in. I pop her in and we are in business. 
Note: Not recommended for dogs named Baxter or Roscoe (or those over 10 pounds)!

THAT is awesome. You went with one strap! Is that the walmart sack holder? It looks so much cuter with a puppy in it! I really, really love the bad...and of course the pooch too.
Bag was winged (as usual). I put one strap because I was going for a baby sling type of thing. I actually made it too long to be a sling (it stretches especially with 7 lbs in it). It is great for holding other stuff (aka stuff I bought along the walk in which case pooped pup has to walk!).
