Thank You Alwyn!

I did not take micro. But I did take invertebrate zoology.

Lifecycles.

Malaria, Giardia and Leptospirosis. Ringworms. Tape worms. Hookworms. Toxoplasmosis. Trichinosis.

And now I remember why I do not like to go barefoot outdoors (among other things!).

Thank you Alwyn! :-P

Going barefoot is fine as long as you wash your feet at the end of the day. Cleanliness is a virtue. You struck a nerve with me here with the feet because I got ringworm earlier this year and had a hard time shaking it. I've been training on a wrestling mat for over two years and never caught it. I start going to a new gym that is just gross and then I finally catch it.

Going back to the E. Coli topic, it's sad that people have died or gotten very sick after consuming these things. How often do you hear about how the affected people were regarding their state of health before they contracted the sickness?

I wonder about it a lot because of the West Nile virus scare here in my neck of the woods is really only scary if you had immune dysfunction in the first place.

Just something to think about.

Believe it or not, I HAVE heard of the candiru fish. However, I heard about them in a movie. Ever seen "The Rundown" with The Rock and the guy that played Stiffler in American Pie? This lady warned The Rock not to pee in the water or else the candiru would swim up into his pintu.

Good clip, though.

I didn't watch all of The Rundown so I missed that part! Plus most of what I watched was on the airplane sans earphones. I'm thinking "PINTU" is chamorro? Can't find it, but found "chili." Remember that and some other words I don't know how to spell.

Been here?

Dude, I think that guy who does the website is my cousin. We're not close at all, but his dad's brother lives not-too-far from me.
